Asylum:

Are you afraid to go back
to your country?

PAIR’s Pro Bono Asylum Program is a leading volunteer program in Massachusetts to recruit, mentor and train attorneys from private law firms to represent, without charge, indigent asylum seekers who have fled their countries after suffering from unimaginable harm. To learn more, read our Pro Se Asylum Manual. The goal of the program is to secure safety for every client who has tried to exercise freedoms that we may take for granted. PAIR has recruited, trained and mentored thousands of volunteer attorneys to represent asylum seekers and detained immigrants. We provide free asylum intake services. Please click below for help.

Detention:

Are you or a loved one
being detained?

PAIR’s Detention Program is the only immigration legal services program with negotiated access to all major ICE detention centers in Massachusetts and Wyatt, Rhode Island to conduct legal orientation. To learn more, read our Self Help Manual for Detainees. PAIR also provides free legal services for detainees with bond and removal defense. Access to counsel for detained asylum seekers is critical as this population of immigrants has no family, support network, or right to a free attorney. Without legal advice, detained immigrants do not understand their basic rights, may remain unjustly detained, and face deportation. Please click below for help.
